The position is offered for a period of 2 years, if no former times of qualification must be considered. The starting date is as soon as possible. The position is fulltime with salary and benefits commensurate with a public service position in the state Hesse, Germany (TV-H E 14).
This is a position in the research group led by Prof. Dr. Melanie Fischer. Our group conducts translational research with a focus on dyadic interactions, couple communication, and interpersonal emotion regulation in the context of psychological disorders. Our research examines the role of romantic relationships and other close social bonds in mental health, as well as in the development and maintenance of psychopathology. In addition, we develop treatment approaches that involve partners and other significant others and evaluate them in clinical trials. Current projects focus on depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Our group emphasizes an intersectional, inclusive perspective on couple and family relationships. As part of the position, the postdoc will plan, conduct and publish research projects with a methodological focus on ecological momentary assessments and analyses of partner interactions (voice analyses, behavioral observations). In addition to new projects, the role includes involvement in ongoing projects as well as the opportunity to develop publications based on available data.
The position will be filled by a temporary contract that is limited to the period which is necessary to gain further scientific expertise (such as the preparation for a subsequent qualification period). Within the entrusted tasks the opportunity for independent scientific work to obtain further personal qualification is given. The limitation of the contract complies to Section 2(1) of the German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act (WissZeitVG).
Applications from candidates who have not yet obtained their licence as a psychological therapist will also be considered. In such cases, the job description will be adjusted accordingly; the position will be classified in salary grade E 13 under the TV-H pay scale.
Willingness to own scientific qualification is expected.
