THESE ARE YOUR TASKS:
- research in the area of communications engineering with the goal of a scientific qualification (Ph.D.)
- publishing research results, including in academic journals and at conferences
- preparing grant proposals to secure external funding
- academic, research-based teaching totaling approximately 4 SWS in the form of seminars and lab sessions in the field of communications engineering, with the goal of equipping students to conduct independent academic work
- supervision of theses
- preparation, supervision and correction of examinations
THIS MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT:
- completed academic degree (Diplom, Master’s or equivalent) in electrical engineering, information technology, physics or a related field, with at least a “good” grade
- in-depth knowledge of communications engineering
- strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or C
- fluency in spoken and written English; basic knowledge of German or a willingness to acquire it quickly
- willingness to work seriously and with dedication on a project aimed at advancing your own academic qualifications
- ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
- communication skills for presenting research results and conducting courses
