THESE ARE YOUR TASKS:
- research in the field of data-driven ship design
- develop and apply generative deep learning methods for ship hull design
- develop image-based surrogate models for hydrodynamic evaluation
- implement coupled optimization of ship hulls subject to constraints
- collaborate and communicate with project partners
- present your research at scientific conferences and publish them in peer-reviewed journals
THIS MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT:
- completed university degree (diploma, master's degree or comparable degree) in naval architecture, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or a comparable field with at least good results
- knowledge in the field of data science and deep learning
- experience with Python and deep learning frameworks
- knowledge in naval architecture and hydrodynamics is desirable
- knowledge in the field of computational modeling is desirable
- experience in project management is desirable
- very good command of German and English, both written and spoken
- excellent time management, communication skills, and the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
