The role

  • Conduct quantitative research on topics related to money, credit and banking with the aim of obtaining a doctoral degree
  • Write and publish scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and present your research at national and international conferences
  • Participation in the research and teaching activities of the Faculty of Economics and Management Science and the Central German Doctoral Program in Economics (CGDE).

About you

  • A very good master’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Econometrics or Finance
  • Profound knowledge of quantitative research methods, such as statistics, econometrics and/or experimental economics
  • A strong interest in financial intermediation, monetary policy and financial markets is desirable
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
