Our research group investigates classical developmental biology questions: How does a complex organism develop from a fertilized egg cell? Which molecules ensure that identical precursors develop into specialized cells? We study these questions using the zebrafish model system. Your future area of responsibility will include the application of molecular biological, cell biological, and biochemical techniques, as well as laboratory organization and maintenance of fish stocks. We expect an interest in basic research, a strong team spirit, and a high level of communication and organizational skills. The position also requires solid computer skills (Excel, Word, and DNA analysis software) as well as a good command of English, both written and spoken.
