The Chair of Monetary and International Macroeconomics at the University of Hohenheim offers a dynamic research environment in macroeconomics, monetary economics, and quantitative methods. Your tasks

  • Conduct original research leading to a doctoral dissertation
  • Present research at departmental seminars and international conferences
  • Contribute to teaching activities
  • Participate in departmental activities
  • Participate in the structured PhD program with specialized coursework
  • Develop an own research agenda

Your profile

  • Excellent master’s degree in economics or a related field
  • Strong background in macroeconomics, econometrics, and/or quantitative methods
  • Strong programming skills (e.g. MATLAB, Python)
  • Ability to conduct independent research
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English and German skills
