The Inter-University Centre for Dance at the UdK is looking for a new member of staff to fill the following position:
Academic Collaboration in Research Coordination and Development (m/f/x)
– Salary group 13 TV-L Berlin universities (German public service salary scale)–
with three quarters of the regular weekly working hours (currently 29,55 hours per week) limited to a period of 30 months

The Inter-University Centre for Dance (-berlin.de) is an internationally oriented educational and re-search institute for contemporary dance, choreography and performance jointly run by the University of the Arts Berlin and the Ernst Busch University of Theatre Arts, in cooperation with TanzRaumBerlin, a network from the professional dance scene. There are three established courses of study at the HZT: Dance, Context, Choreography (BA), Choreography (MA) and Solo/Dance/Authorship (MA). The HZT Berlin stands for a close integration of artistic and academic practice. The position is to take place in the field of research of Professor Dr. Sandra Noeth and is part of her work in the area of Body-based Artistic Research at the interface between aesthetics, politics and ethics. Her approach studies bodies as witnesses, documents and agents within con-temporary aesthetic, socio-political, and ethical contexts and processes. Duties the open position offers:
- Coordinating and developing research in the area of body-based, artistic-scientific research within current socio-political contexts
- Building and extending international partnerships and networks
- Collaboration in the organisation and execution of trans-disciplinary events
- Writing applications and reports
Requirements:
- Completed university qualification (master’s or degree) and completed academic or artistic doctorate in the area of the Humanities, the Arts or the Social Sciences or in a related field of professional practice
- Experience in initiating and setting up research projects
- Experience in trans-disciplinary project work
- Knowledge of the named field of research is an advantage
- Experience in the acquisition of external funding is an advantage
- Interest in project-related communications and organisational processes
- High proficiency in English, written and spoken (C1 level); knowledge of German is an advantage
