The Energy Informatics lab at Technische Universität Clausthal solicits applications for one
to support the group's research activities. The position is full-time, remunerated according to the German TV-L scheme (up to grade E 13, contingent on applicant qualifications), and offered for an initial duration of 2.5 years. The willingness to complete an academic qualification (doctoral degree or habilitation) is expected. A part-time employment is generally possible.
Research project
The position is part of the project “Innovative integrated energy park concepts for rural areas“ (INITIAL), in which seven departments at four universities are collaborating on research to integrate simulation models for generators and consumers in integrated energy parks (consisting of generators, consumers, and storage systems—for electricity, hydrogen, and/or heat). The overarching goal is to determine the operating modes that best serve the grid for a given combination of integrated components while also ensuring acceptance of the general public. The scientific contribution expected of the advertised position will primarily focus on the digital integration of models and the data-driven optimization of their operating modes.
