Your tasks

Operational management of the research group “International Energy Research” at the Institute of new Energy Systems, including leadership and supervision of staff
Further development and design of research activities in decentralised, off-grid energy supply and rural electrification with renewable energies, Agri-PV solutions, sustainable mobility, and the Water-Energy-Food nexus for sustainable energy deployment in both urban and rural settings
Acquisition of public funding for international research projects in collaboration with the Institute's professors and staff
Management and organisational coordination of ongoing research projects in the research group
Further development of the Institute's network of national and international universities, research institutions, industry partners, and funding institutions in the field
Representation of the Institute in national and international committees and networks
Presentation of research results at relevant international conferences

Your profile

Completed academic university degree at Master’s level in a relevant subject, such as Mechanical Engineering, (Renewable) Energy Technology, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, (Technical) Physics or Industrial Engineering
Professional expertise, ideally with a PhD, in renewable energy systems for heating/cooling, electricity and mobility, gained in an international environment
Expertise in modelling and simulation of renewable energy systems, and in experimental analysis of energy systems in practical use, with relevant publications
Experience in designing, acquiring and coordinating research projects with industrial and scientific partners at a national and international level, as well as initial management experience
Organisational and communicative skills as well as the ability to work independently and in a structured manner
Very good written and spoken English, German language skills are advantageous
Willingness to travel both domestically and abroad
