At the Chair of Applied Microbiology, we are investigating the use of non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasmas for the production of chemical species that can be used to drive enzymes in biocatalytic reactions. The Chair of Applied Microbiology has a vacancy for a position on the topic of “Plasma-driven biocatalysis” to be filled at the earliest possible date.
The goal of the doctoral research project will be the optimization of the process of plasma-driven biocatalysis as part of the DFG Collaborative Research Center 1316 “Transient Atmospheric Pressure Plasmas - From Plasma to Liquids to Solids” https://sfb1316.rub.de/index.php/de/

The position is salaried and based on the collective agreement of the Länder (TV-L). If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, the employee will receive pay grade E13 TV-L.

If the position is funded by third-party funds the employee has no teaching obligation.
