Ludwigsburg University of Education, with approximately 6,000 students and over 470 employees, is one of six Universities of Education in Baden-Württemberg. It holds university status, including the right to award doctoral degrees and habilitations.
Within the Subject of Ethics, Ludwigsburg University of Education offers courses for students pursuing teaching degrees for Secondary Education (Sekundarstufe I) and Special Needs Education. Pending approval by the state government, the program will expand to include courses for Primary Education in the future. It will also provide a limited number of courses serving Academic Secondary Education (Gymnasium) students in cooperation with the University of Stuttgart. These offerings comprise both subject-specific (content) and didactical courses.
In addition, the official conditions of employment and service tasks specified in sections 46 and 47 of the LHG apply in their currently valid version.
