The Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods is one of more than 80 institutions of the Max Planck Society. It is an internationally oriented research institute dealing with applied economics.

We have an

Open call for interns (m/f/div)

who are interested in getting hands-on research experience at our institute.

Our Offer to You:

  • First insights into scientific research in a small international team
  • Opportunity to participate in research seminars
  • Internship contract with a maximum duration of 3 months
  • An expense allowance of €450 per month in accordance with the federal government's internship guidelines

Your Profile:

  • Good GPA in Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative study program
  • First experience with statistical software (e.g., Stata or R) or python, or willingness to learn relevant languages
  • Very good command of English to collaborate with our international colleagues; knowledge of German desired, but not required

The position can be fully remote, the prerequisite is residence in Germany. We are flexible with hours per week and duration of the contract.

The individual research groups decide on new applicants twice a year, at the end of February and at the end of August. If you are interested in mechanism design, behavioral, experimental, and/or development economics, you are welcome to apply!
