About us:

The International Comparative Public Policy Team works in the field of international and comparative public policy research and conducts research and teaching in this area.

We teach a broad range of courses on international political economy, social policy, inequality, environmental and climate policy, gender, policy evaluation, and research design.

In our research, we focus on political economy and public policy in four areas: taxation, the welfare state, trade, and climate. We use a variety of research designs, ranging from survey experiments and regression analyses to case studies.

Das sind Ihre Aufgaben:

• Assisting in research on tax policy in the areas of climate policy, gender discrimination, colonisation through e.g. research, data collection and processing.
• Support activities in the context of scientific publications and applications (e.g. editorial revision, source work)
• General organisational and administrative tasks (e.g. assistance with teaching preparation, workshop organisation, literature search, copying and lending)

Das sind Sie:

• Enrollement in a B.A. or M.A. degree programme in political science or another social science (e.g. econ, sociology)
• Very good IT skills, especially with Stata/R and experience in handling research data
• Good knowledge of German or English
• Communication and teamwork skills
• High level of reliability and ability to work independently
• High motivation for scientific work and interest in the specialisations of the team

Das ist unser Angebot:

You will work in a friendly and motivated team. Your workplace is centrally located in Munich and is easily accessible by public transport.

Payment is based on the usual hourly rates for student assistants (€15.20 per hour) and student assistants with a Bachelor's degree (€16,70 per hour).
