The Laboratory for Functional Genome Analysis (LAFUGA) is an integrated technology platform within the , consisting of the three research units Genomics, Proteomics and Model Organisms. For discovery proteomics the LAFUGA proteomics unit () uses state of the art instrumentation including nano-HPLC systems and high-resolution mass spectrometers.
Presently, the lab consists of 3 PhD students and one post-doctoral researcher and is equipped with several nano-LC-MS/MS systems (e.g. Q Exactive HF-X, tims-TOF-HT).

The successful candidate will perform proteomic analyses across a spectrum of translational research projects and work closely with research groups at LMU and collaborating institutions. All projects rely on advanced LC–MS/MS‑based proteomics. Core responsibilities include developing experimental strategies, conducting data analysis, discussing findings with collaborators, and contributing substantially to manuscript preparation. In addition, the candidate is expected to support the development and implementation of new methodological approaches.
We offer the opportunity to integrate own ideas into our interdisciplinary, and collaborative team and to perform high level research using state-of-the-art mass spectrometry. Initially, the position is available for two years. The salary is based on the German public sector pay scale (TV-L).
