The Institute of Ancient History in the Department of History studies the Mediterranean world and western Eurasia from the third millennium BCE to Late Antiquity. Within these broad chronological and spatial limits, the successful candidate will cover the history the Hellenistic World. They are expected to participate in the interdisciplinary activities of the Department of History and the Faculty of History and the Arts and pursue an ambitious programme of research and teaching.
Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program.
