Your Tasks
About the Position

The research project for this PhD thesis focuses on the investigation and development of advanced materials for CO2​ capture processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing experimental measurements, conducting detailed data analysis, and characterisation of materials by physico-chemical techniques, including X-ray analysis, vibrational spectroscopy, and physisorption methods. The candidate will collaborate with international project partners and contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts. The current project is a part of the WEAVE cross-European initiative, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Your Profile

  • A university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
  • Practical experience with material characterisation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required; knowledge of German is beneficial but not essential.
