Full-time, permanent
You will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the field of thermal process engineering within the Department of Chemical Engineering’s bachelor’s and master’s programmes.
You will also teach and conduct research into innovative processes, such as those designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The inspiring environment created by a long-established, research-oriented team and first-class laboratory equipment will be ideal for developing ideas and advancing existing research priorities, such as pressure swing adsorption and rectification.
As well as participating in regional and national/international projects in applied research and knowledge transfer, you will play an active role in self-government at FH Münster.
Your expertise is founded upon a degree in process engineering, chemical engineering or a similar discipline, as well as a recognised doctorate in applied research.
In addition, you have sound professional experience of working in industry, e.g. in innovative and simulation-based design methods for basic thermal operations (distillation, extraction, absorption, adsorption, drying, etc.) and processes. As a result, you also have knowledge of the thermodynamics of mixtures and transport processes.
In any case, you will support us in the area of internationalisation by teaching with confidence in German and English – you are business fluent in both languages.
Experience in academic teaching, ideally at university level, would be advantageous, as would initial leadership experience.
A permanent W2 professorship on civil servant conditions will enable you to make a valuable contribution to teaching, research and university management.
You will be able to strike a healthy work-life-family balance.
Familiarisation with self-government tasks and participation in the academic mentoring programme.
You can look forward to an exciting challenge as part of our team, with dedicated colleagues to support you from the very beginning.
In our new MakerSpace, you can pass on your expertise in close cooperation with students.
