# PostDoc Position (f/m/d)

to promote their own academic qualifications within the meaning of § 2 (1) of the German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz) from 01.04.2026.

Your tasks

The position includes the following responsibilities:

• Research, independent and/or with the members of the Applied Functional Analysis Group. Targeting meaningful publications.
• Teaching (exercise classes 3h/week)
• Examinations

Your profile

For being part of the selection process is needed:

• Completed excellent scientific university degree (Master/Dipl. (Univ.)) in mathematics
• Excellent PhD in mathematics
• Excellent background and knowledge in:
• spectral theory of unbounded operators in Hilbert spaces
• perturbation theory and selfadjoint operators
• linear relations (theory of multi-valued operators)
• strong proficiency in spoken and written English (level B2 )

Following competences are desirable:

• strong background in mathematics
• Interested in actively collaborating and interacting with other researchers from control engineering, computer science, and robotics
