We are a young and dynamic technical university in the heart of Lusatia, developing practical, science-based solutions to address major future challenges and global transformation processes.
The research focus of the Educational Psychology unit lies in the psychosocial development of children and adolescents and the relevant conditions for this in the school environment. Examples of this include studies on the mental health of schoolchildren, on violence and social exclusion in schools, and on the competencies of teachers.
The position offers excellent conditions for academic qualification in an outstanding scientific environment at the intersection of psychology and education. We are seeking a motivated individual pursuing an academic career who would like to make a significant contribution to the research field with their doctoral thesis.
The town of Senftenberg is located near the A13 motorway, about 40 km southwest of Cottbus and about 60 km north of Dresden. The surrounding Lusatian Lake District is an attractive holiday region between Berlin and Dresden.
