The new hire is expected to teach courses at both the Bachelor's and Master's level in degree programmes of the Faculty.
The kiz is a central operating unit of Ulm University that provides library, IT and media services to the entire university, including the University Medical Centre. The kiz is responsible for ensuring reliable operation of the associated infrastructure and offering a corresponding service portfolio in line with demand.
Moreover, the kiz is an active partner in the State of Baden-Württemberg's high-performance computing initiative (bwHPC) and the state-wide university computing network (BelWü), operating its own research-related HPC cluster within this framework.
The kiz is responsible for the following tasks within Ulm University:
The position holder will assume overall management responsibility for the kiz and guide its further development in a needs-based and future-oriented manner. Appointment as CIO of Ulm University is possible.
Employment requirements are completed university studies as well as teaching aptitude, a doctoral degree and further pertinent scientific achievements (§ 47 LHG).
