Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
The position comprises scientific collaboration in the externally funded project "NFDIxCS" (National Research Data Infrastructure for and with Computer Science). This includes working on research questions in the development, analysis, implementation and operation of complex, secure IT systems. As a research-intensive working area, our research results are directly incorporated into teaching. In addition, the post holder continuously contributes to the publication and presentation of research and project results.
A university degree in a relevant field.
Sound knowledge of the security of open distributed communication systems as well as basic knowledge of cryptography and security protocols are necessary. Experience in the design of database-based software solutions using cryptographic concepts, and previous experience in the study of security and privacy on the internet and in mobile systems are advantageous. Programming skills in high-level programming languages such as Java, C/C++, and Python are required.
