The remuneration is in accordance with TV-L 13 .No.: 10823WM9The Collaborative Research Center SFB 986 " — M3", with the participation of the Technical University of Hamburg, the Helmholtz Center Hereon, the University of Hamburg and the German Electron Synchrotron (DESY), aims at the development and fabrication of multiscale structured materials with tailored mechanical, electrical and photonic properties. Within the SFB 986, in subject A6 a postdoc-position is offeredYOUR TASKS

Carry out polymerization experiments including bulk radical polymerization, living polymerizations

Carry out polycondensation experiments

Characterize the obtained polymers using basic methods (FTIR, HPLC, NMR, viscosimetry)

Develop characterization techniques to determine the extent of polymerization in complex composites with minerals

Write scientific reports and papers

YOUR PROFILE

Completed scientific university studies (Diploma, Master), in particular, in the area of polymerization or condensation and a PhD in one of these fields: chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering with a focus on organic chemistry and polymers

Solid hand-on experience in organic synthesis and/or polymerizations

Ability to speak and write in good English
