For over ten years, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in the Lower Rhine region of Germany has provided an innovative, interdisciplinary and international education to young minds from around the world. We offer a total of 36 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in four multidisciplinary faculties: Technology and Bionics, Life Sciences, Society and Economics, and Communication and Environment. 75% of our degree programmes are taught in English. Over 7,300 students from 122 different countries are currently pursuing a degree in our uniquely international and intercultural learning community. International collaboration is a strength of ours, visible in our active network of more than 90 partner universities in 38 countries.
The degree programmes of the Faculty of Communication and Environment in Kamp-Lintfort are geared towards the needs of the region, but deeply international as well. The range of fields available to study include psychology, media computer science, administrative computer science, energy and environmental sciences, mobility and logistics, economics, usability engineering and design. Practical relevance is of major importance in all of our degree programmes. This is why we approach teaching and learning in the degree programmes Information and Communication Design B.A. and Design and Interaction M.A. through the lens of a future-oriented design education that particularly encourages interdisciplinary collaboration with IT experts, psychologists, natural scientists, engineers and economists in the faculty. Our excellently equipped laboratories and workshops place cutting edge equipment, workstation PCs and other professional tools at your disposal for high-quality media production and provide an ideal environment for teaching and research.

General requirements for the appointment of new professors are derived from § 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz NRW). The following qualifications are therefore mandatory for all applicants to this position:
