Lead applications for third-party funding from national and international funding agencies

Support developing, authoring, and compiling grant proposals together with IBMI scientists

Scout new funding opportunities and stay up-to-date on funding schemes and requirements

Coordinate proposal submission and post-award preparations

Work at the interface between IBMI scientists and the central administrations of Helmholtz Munich and TUM, external partners, and funding agencies

Support award nomination/application and general recommendation documents

Assist with the preparations of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals

Proofread scientific texts with regard to the various target audiences

Support applications for ethics approval of clinical studies

Support IBMI operations, public relations, and marketing activities

Support project management activities, including compilation of scientific reports

Your qualificationsThe successful applicant must have the following:

PhD degree in natural sciences, electrical engineering, physics, optics, medical technology, or biomedical computing

Extensive experience in independent writing of texts for scientific audiences, including proposals for competitive funding, peer-reviewed publications and reviews, and articles for the general public

Excellent ability to analyze and present complex research projects to various audiences

Excellent command of English both written and spoken. Fluency in written and spoken German is considered a strong plus

Experience with word processing, worksheet, database, data analysis, and graphics software

Business-oriented skills or background are considered an advantage

Independent, flexible, and solution-oriented working style and commitment to quickly familiarize with new, interdisciplinary research projects

Strong organizational and management skills combined with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues
