Handling sample submissions and quality control of samples for genotyping and next-generation sequencing (RNA, DNA, final libraries).

Processing different Illumina arrays for genotyping and methylation (manually and/or with liquid handling robots).

Operation of Illumina genotyping machines (iScan, Autoloader).

Troubleshooting of technical problems in the sample preparation and genotyping workflows.

Establishment of new genotyping arrays and workflows.

Support the NGS workflow (library prep and operation of Illumina sequencers).

Support the seamless operation of the core (e.g., ordering, regular instrument QC, supply management).

Your qualifications

Lab technicia, MTA, BTA, CTA, (Biologielaborant:in) or Bachelor’s degree in biology/biotechnology or a related field.

Wet-lab experience and molecular biology lab skills.

Prior hands-on experience with Illumina genotyping arrays is a plus, training on robotics and Illumina genotyping instrumentation will be provided when necessary.

Experience in working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset, able to work in an international environment.

Written and oral communication skills in English and German.
